We presented yesterday in NYC for the Canadian Consulate General’s Technology Accelerator program.

Our discussion focused on process innovation in retail and how that impacts the adoption of technology. Why is this particularly important right now? Well, Results from a recent PwC survey show that only 17% of supply chain executives say that technology implementations have delivered on expectations.

This is not an indictment of the technologies. Rather, this is an issue of companies not upskilling, not having a clear delivery plan, and not adapting how they work prior to taking on the tech.

Basically: It’s not you, it’s me.

Using current and timely examples, we showed how retailers are making efforts to innovate how they work. In turn, this opens up opportunities for relevant technology to be used like VR showrooms, data/analytics platforms, and PLM tools.

This insight is very helpful to tech vendors in their efforts as they attempt to make their mark in the US market.
